Finding Sadaqatul Jariyah through Technology

In Islam Sadaqatul Jariya simply means continuous alms / charity. A continuous charity action which remains active even the person demises.

Eg — You build a house for a needy and even you are dead they will find comfort and protective shelter which makes a continuous charity which reaches to your grave or it can be buying books for a needy kid who would learn and then come to a good status and serve many, yes that’s right your good deed brought up a person who serves many or maybe digging up a well in a village.

“When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)” Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim

Is it only for one Muslim to another Muslim? No.

Unlike in 20th century, technology has become so advanced and growing in a rapid rate providing ways to do charity. Maybe collecting funds to build new schools, build wells or house, or can be doing a video tutorial in youtube about how to solve a mathematics question.

I’m 27 years now. Saw many people, been to many places, went through hardships and love to help with passion for people. Human life spans are so fragile I dont know even if I would pass away right now. Steve Jobs used to ask from himself every morning in front of the mirror, “What would I do if this was my last day”. My quest is to collect sadaqatul jariya and help others to collect theirs too, for a better humanity. Perhaps I might succeed and inspire 10 more to do or I might fail but its worth the try.

What ever I do, I try to make it the best as possible. Ideamart is one such venture which I am a part of. As first initiative to collect Sadaqatul Jariya, I would like to build 6 Ideamart Charity Applications for Mosque / Pansal / Kovil or Church to raise funds to good things to people, send alerts to their communities, send religious quotes…etc. I will develop these applications for free of charge. I have done this before as well but mainly in urban areas. Now looking for rural areas.
